The 2nd CEE Hydrogen Forum was organised on 9 April in Budapest as a side event of the 3rd Budapest Hydrogen Summit. This year, regional projects with significant potential were introduced to the participants. Best practices from Austria and several great project initiatives from Slovakia, Slovenia, Greece and Hungary were exchanged.

The event also saw a presentation from Hydrogen Europe on hydrogen valleys. The main conclusion of the event was that regional cooperation is essential to develop the supply and demand side of the hydrogen market, exploiting the economies of scale and synergies in cross-border business links.

The participants agreed that cooperation will also ensure that actors interested in the development of the hydrogen economy can minimise the risks arising from market immaturity and make the most cost-effective investment decisions.

The CEE Hydrogen Forum was organised for the first time last year by MOL-PE Circular Economy Science Park with the goal of bringing together key players of the hydrogen economy from Central Europe to explore the potential for regional cooperation.
