The operator of the Krk liquified natural gas (LNG) terminal LNG Croatia announced last Tuesday (20 February) that seven billion cubic metres (bcm) of natural gas have been delivered to Croatia’s transmission system via the terminal since its commissioning.
Since the first day of its operation in January 2021, the LNG terminal on the Krk island has docked 85 LNG carriers and loaded 308 trucks for LNG transportation in Croatia and other parts of Central and Eastern Europe, including Hungary. Earlier this month, the terminal also completed its 300th LNG reloading for truck transport.
