Romania’s Ministry of Energy announced on Friday (23 February) the signing of a financing contract for the construction of a gas-fired power plant with combined cycle capacities adaptable for hydrogen operation.
The funding of around 253.1 million euros is provided by the EU’s Modernisation Fund, with CCGT POWER IȘALNIȚA being the beneficiary.
The planned combined-cycle gas-fired power plant, located in Ișalnița (southern Romania), is expected to have an installed capacity of around 850 megawatts (MW).
